Disinfection method of keyboard

Aug 26, 2023 Leave a message

1. Tap the keyboard. Turn off the computer and remove the keyboard from the host. Put a newspaper on the table, turn the keyboard upside down, about 10 cm away from the table, tap and shake.

2. Blow off debris. Use a hair dryer to aim at the gaps on the keyboard keys to blow off the debris attached to them, and then turn the keyboard down again and shake and pat.

3. Scrub the surface. Dip a soft cloth with diluted detergent (note that the soft cloth is not too damp), and scrub the surface of the keys. Then vacuum the keyboard again.

4. disinfect. After the keyboard is cleaned, you might as well dip it in alcohol, disinfectant or medicinal hydrogen peroxide for disinfection, and finally wipe the surface of the keyboard with a dry cloth.

5. Wash thoroughly. If you want to clean the keyboard thoroughly, you have to remove the cap of each key. The keycaps of ordinary keyboards are detachable, and you can pry them off with a small screwdriver or ear pick. Larger button caps such as the space bar and enter key are more difficult to return to their original positions, so try not to remove them. It is best to use the camera to take a picture of the keyboard layout or draw a sketch. After removing the button cap, you can soak it in detergent or disinfectant solution, and carefully scrub the keyboard base with a flannel or disinfectant paper towel.
